Aθήνα 8.9.2008, 07:02
The Department of Educational Studies of University of Glasgow organises program of postgraduate study titled: MSc/PGDip/PGCert in Inter-Professional Science Education and Communication.

Inter - professional teamwork -a mutual understanding and collaboration between professionals- to create a richer learning experience in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

This unique programme addresses the most important issues related to effective communication and education in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Students will learn about the different contexts in which science communication and education take place, and acquire techniques that allow them to take advantage of the opportunities in this area to contribute effectively and confidently. The programme is hosted by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Research and Teaching in STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in the Faculty of Education at the University of Glasgow. It offers a route into a range of science communication careers or further study.

Methods of study
The programme begins in September. The MSc takes one calendar year full-time and two years part-time. The PGDip and PGCert take 9 months full-time and 21 months part time.

Transferable skills are developed during written and practical assignments, involvement in group discussions and hands-on tasks. For those students taking the MSc, individual supervision is provided in the preparation of the dissertation or portfolio. Most courses will also make use of the Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle.
